Not every doctor, dentist, or hospital accepts Kentucky Medicaid. Here’s how to check before your visit.

Always call the provider’s office to confirm they accept Kentucky Medicaid (and your MCO, if applicable). Policies can change.
3) Pharmacies
Most major pharmacy chains and many local pharmacies accept Kentucky Medicaid for prescriptions. Bring your Medicaid card each time.
4) Dental & vision
Coverage varies by age and program. Confirm with providers whether routine dental or vision services are included under your plan.
5) Hospitals
Most hospitals in Kentucky accept Medicaid, but confirm coverage for specialty care or elective procedures before scheduling.
