Keeping your coverage

Medicaid requires an annual renewal (also called redetermination). Watch for notices and respond quickly to stay covered.

1) Watch your mail & messages

You’ll get a renewal packet by mail or through kynect. It may ask for updated info.

If you don’t return the renewal form or requested documents, your coverage may end. Deadlines are usually 30 days from the notice.

Report changes to address, income, phone, or household right away. This helps avoid gaps at renewal time.

You may have a short window to reinstate coverage without a new application. If you miss it, you can still reapply through kynect.
